2. After you have installed the GOtv antenna, take it outside and set it in a place where there will be no obstruction of signal.

Usually, the GOtv antenna should be set in a high place with the aid of a pole or any suitable means.

Otherwise, if the Antenna is kept in a low place, the signal will be very poor.

3. Keep the decoder in your desired location. Preferably, close to your TV stand.

4. Connect your TV to the GOtv decoder using the Audio and Video (AV) cables.

5. Using the RF IN plug or HDMI cable, depending on what you have, connect your GOtv decoder to your Antenna.

6. Now, connect your GOtv decoder to a power supply, with the power cable.

7. Turn on both the GOtv decoder and TV, and switch your TV to AV mode.

Your GOtv should start working by now. If it was activated at the point of purchase. If it wasn’t activated when you bought it, you will need to activate it. Check out the steps below to activate a new GOtv.

How to Activate GOtv Nigeria

After you have installed your GOtv decoder, you will need to activate your GOtv Nigeria, before you can have access to the channels on GOtv.

Also, activating your new GOtv will give you access to a one-month free GOtv max package.

Usually, the place where you bought the GOtv should activate it for you.

But if they didn’t, or you don’t have extra cash to spare for that, then don’t worry, as I will be showing you how to go about it.

Please Note: Only activate your GOtv if you are new to GOtv and if your GOtv wasn’t activated when you bought it.

To activate GOtv for the first time without assistance, follow the steps below:

  1. Connect your GOtv decoder to your TV set and antenna.

  4. Click the Activate New Account button.

How To Confirm If Your Activation is Successful

If you followed the steps outlined above, your GOtv should now be activated.

However, if you are not too sure, you can verify if it has been activated or not.

To do this, simply follow the steps below.

  1. On the dashboard, click the Activation Status tab
  2. Enter your IUC Number
  3. Click the Check Activation Status button.

If you see ACTIVE, then your GOtv is activated and should begin shortly.
